In a world that moves fast, **The Sattvic Space** invites you to slow down. Designed around the ancient wisdoms of Ayurveda and Yoga, this monthly offering is your invitation to pause and settle into a quiet moment of clarity and balance.

*In Ayurveda, Sattva is one of three energetic qualities called gunas. It represents harmony, bliss, wisdom, creativity, and tranquillity. Qualities we could all do with a bit more of in our lives.*

Once a month, treat yourself to a time out. 2 hours of peace, away from the noise of life. These regular monthly meet ups are for checking in on yourself, reflecting on what feels good, and noticing where you could be treating yourself more kindly. 

Leave feeling lighter, more at peace, and more sattvic.

These 2-hour workshops are designed to be accessible, unhurried, and deeply supportive - like a warm cup of tea for your soul.

- **An Opening Circle -** a deeply supportive space to share and connect with others, or simply listen and observe.


- **Ayurvedic Wisdom -** simple, seasonal guidance tailored to the rhythms of nature and the people in the room. Absolutely no prior knowledge is needed to receive what you need.

- Nourish your body with our delicious, home-made meals, designed to help you feel refreshed and revitalized from the inside out with foraged ingredients. Vegan choices and dietary requirements will be met with the help of Alana who is an Ayurveda Consultant.
- Get moving with Alana, who is also a yoga teacher. She will run our fun and energizing yoga, movement and dance practice, perfect for expressing yourself and releasing stagnant energy in a joyful way!
- Receive healing and alignment from energy worker Stacy to help you feel like you belong in your beautiful body. Stacy will also lead a drumming journey and crystal sound bath.
- Spend time in the serene gardens, forest, and lake for ultimate grounding and connecting to nature.

**What is a kitchari cleanse?**

A kitchari cleanse maximizes your body’s ability to flush nasty toxins out of your system, and transition between seasons with more ease. This will help us move into a new season with a clear mind, boosted energy levels, glowing complexion, regulated digestive system, and powerful immunity. 

This is not a fast, but rather a nourishing 7-day program where we primarily eat a specialty Ayurvedic dish, kitchari, which has detoxifying qualities. Alongside the detox diet, we will incorporate self-care practices that encourage your body to stimulate your lymphatic system and flush toxins. 

**Who is it for?**

This is for you if you've had a stressful, busy period or a summer of over-indulgence. You may be feeling a little uncomfortable in your body or over-stimulated in your mind. You might be experiencing symptoms like brain fog, sluggishness, weight-gain, or bloating and digestive issues.

Come along to a fun, expressive, beginner-friendly yoga class where 100% of the profits will be given to charities supporting LGBTQ+ lives.

There are three of these classes available to attend over the summer, all at different venues around Shrewsbury. Each one will be 45 minutes long, and involve a range of gently physical movements alongside breathwork and meditation.

The charities we will be supporting are:

- **Gendered Intelligence** - an organisation dedicated to improving trans lives, and making it safer to be trans or gender diverse in the UK.
- **Mermaids UK** - an organisation that offers training and a support line, supporting gender-diverse young people and their families.
- **Switchboard** - the national LGBTQ+ support line for anyone, at any point in their journey.

These classes are donation based. Please book here for free but then pay what you can at the end of class. Cash or bank transfers can be accepted.

I suggest a minimum donation of £5, but please donate as much or as little as you are able. Together, we will need to cover the cost of the space hire for each venue, so the more you’re able to contribute, the more we will be able to donate. I will personally be making a donation to each charity alongside you.

This was a lovely event once the sound issues were sorted. Personally I found the sound bath to be too long which wasn't primarily the fault of the orgsnisers, it was because I had other things to do after the event which were constantly impinging on my mind. I would have preferred a half hour session of voice work like Omm chanting followed by a half hour sound bath. That said, I loved the yoga and the gentleness by which it was directed.
